5. What is Outcome-Focused Coaching (Training for managers)?

A strong emphasis on coaching is one of the most consistent characteristics of successful workplaces. Put simply, coaching gets results, and prevents staff from reverting to the unproductive behaviours or habits they had prior to the training.

Often, one management level will issue a directive to those reporting to them to coach their team members. This is often the least-effective method of introducing a coaching culture to an organisation, and produces little or no results.  A coaching culture begins when the leadership team demonstrate this culture.

Coaching must always be introduced in a way that feels natural, and is best facilitated by a qualified practitioner. The Emerging Mind’s Paul Kinsella has the knowledge and skills to seamlessly introduce coaching to an organisation, whether it is change management or culture change that is required.  Once all involved parties have understood and accepted the need for it, effective coaching can begin.

By-products of introducing a coaching program include reduced staff turnover, more productive teams, a supportive environment and increased profit margins.

Having completed the program, you will know HOW TO:

    • Provide quality feedback
    • Formulate a well-formed outcome
    • Implement development plans for each team memeber
    • Identify what motivates each member of a team
    • Align team members to a common outcome
    • Handle delicate meetings and keep them on track
    • See other points of view
    • Manage upwards and downwards
    • Read the non-verbal communication of others
